Holiday Inn World’s Fair Convention Center Hotel – Knoxville, Tennessee
The World’s Fair Holiday Inn is a 13-story, 300-room Hotel and Convention Center facility located in Knoxville.
The Hotel is situated within the site of the 1982 World’s Fair in downtown Knoxville. The lobby floor contains Bugundy’s Restaurant, a piano bar, a gift shop, a travel agency and the offices of the Knoxville Convention Center which is connected to the Hotel. Escalators from the lobby provide access to the Convention Center and the Hotel’s Convention facilities on the floor below.
The Hotel opened for business in April, 1982 and was financed by $10,000,000 tax-exempt bond issue.
